Greg Reading (1942-)

Greg Reading spent 25 years with the Gaywaves program on Sydney’s 2SER radio station. His day job was as a film maker with The Commonwealth Film Unit. In this interview, Greg recounts his time with Gaywaves, his involvement with Gay Solidarity Group and his attendance at the National Homosexual Conference. Greg was instrumental in organising the ‘caravan embassy’ that was parked outside then Premier Neville Wran’s residence for two weeks, and which helped to bring about gay law reform in NSW.
