Ayesha Kazan (1944-)

Ayesha studied at Newcastle Teachers College, but left teaching when she began to work as a drag artiste at Karen’s Castle. She would go on to work at a range of venues in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, including Les Girls and Capriccios and rural centres across NSW and on to Alice Springs. She gives a detailed account of her experiences as a performer.
