Bill Bland

(1934-)

Bill grew up in rural Queensland. As a young man working in the wool industry, he moved to Sydney and discovered the camp social scene. In this interview, Bill remembers venues such as the Kashmir Coffee Lounge and the Carlton Rex, social groups like The Chameleons, and local identities including Dawn O’Donnell, Dennis ‘Flo’ Fuller and Ivy Richter.
